August 2007:

Perpetual Indulgence:
Warped Wicked & Wonderful!

Rik Lawerence, Christina Ponce, Mike Tauber,
Helena Mercouri, Jeffery Larsen, Phil Tarley

August 4th - 26th, 2007

Reflections from a 15 year Photo Odyssey into the other world of gay and lesbian fantasy.

Where real men become "Queen For A Day" and real women wear no panties with their combat boots!

This exhibit features the world famous Sisters of Perpetual
Indulgence; a group of men dressing in "far out"
nuns costumes and wearing bizarre makeup to promote sexual equality and do charity work.

Rik Lawrence
a Hollywood celebrity photographer has had several exhibits
in Hollywood and Santa Ana as well as Laguna Beach where he now lives and works. Rik is a recent 3rd place winner in a nationwide photo contest and his new book "Puppy Love" will be available in September.

Mike Tauber
is a very popular and successful Laguna Beach Festival
artist. His new work for this show continues his "Sexy Insects" series. A must see.

Helena Mercouri
also of Laguna shows her larger than life size
brilliant figurative images. Provocative and powerful, her work
seems to come alive before your eyes and "get into your head".

Jeffery Larsen's magical nude photographs are transferred to silk
sheers and hung in layers inside shadow boxes.
Mystical three dimensions unlike anything seen before.

Christina Ponce
is a Master Photographer. This series includes images
of body piercing and bondage that incorporate a sense of fire,
smoke and water. Dark and sensual - full of emotion and energy.

THE very large 50 piece collage wall invites the viewer to:

Look carefully and you may see
A man like you and me

Look carefully and you might see
A girl as lovely as thee

Look carefully at what you may never be
Or - at what you may wish to be

Look at me - I am free
Not like the caged Tiger longing to be free
Or the caged bird that sings to me

And then look again
At the love that dwells within

See what others see or at what you'd like to see
Or at what you'd like to be

Look very, very carefully and see me
Look again and see you and me
See what no one else may see

And finally, look again
For much of mankind is just like you and me
And may never be this free
