January 2008:

BIG!
Annual OCCCA Member Exhibition, on Matters of Sizeable Concern
January 3 to January 12, 2008

Size matters. From Big Food to Big Brother, bigness controls lives. Big lies fly in the face of credulity by simply being too audacious to be false, while big science is suppressed by even bigger fear. Media stars are larger than life, the national debt is ginormous, and the Super Sized fast food meal packs a fat filled 2000 calories onto our backsides millions of times each day. Inboxes fill up each day with emails touting the newest, latest, safest, best way to enlarge your member. And, our athletes get big on HGH (human growth hormones).

For a short ten day exhibition, OCCCA affiliate artists create a sometimes humorous, sometimes serious riff on the good, bad and ugly of bigness.
