Messenger of Dreams
Santa Ana Unified School District Student Art Show
Opening Reception Saturday May 5th, 5pm
Exhibit Runs May 5-20, 2018

Santa Ana is culturally rich city and downtown has been designated as an arts district; but voices of young people are often left out in cultivating their own futures. Messenger of Dreams is an opportunity for students to speak out and express their dreams. What does it mean to dream?
SAUSD art educators have been working with students to help them visualize their dreams and create works of art which speak to issues that are relevant to their lives, incorporating symbolism and visual metaphor. In May, students from 20 SAUSD intermediate and high schools will show you the result of their exploration.
The exhibition will run in conjunction with Mexican sculptor, Jorge Marin’s, year-long public art exhibition in downtown Santa Ana, entitled Wings of the City. Join our student artists to celebrate the lives and dreams of Santa Ana’s youth.
